ABOUT ME

MY STORY

I am a 25-year-old stroke survivor, and my journey has been anything but easy. My left side—the dominant side of my body—was affected, which turned my world upside down. Being a healthcare professional myself, the irony of my situation has been especially difficult to bear. I can’t help but wonder: Could I have done something differently? That question lingers in my mind far too often.

Before the stroke, I was full of life. A proud left-handed individual, I was a sports enthusiast who played football, danced my heart out, and brought energy and wit into every room I entered. I was known as the bubbly girl—the face of joy and charm. But this diagnosis has taken so much from me.

Now, I struggle with tasks that once came naturally. I stumble over my words and can’t open a bag of chips, tie my shoelaces, skip around, or even type properly. Each of these small frustrations feels like a reminder of what I’ve lost.

As much as I’m grateful to still be alive and able to walk, it’s been an incredibly difficult journey. My mental health has taken a severe hit—I’ve battled anxiety, depression, and even reached a point where I felt suicidal.

Despite this, I’ve come to realize something profound: when I’m helping others, I feel a sense of purpose and connection that eases my pain. I’ve discovered that I’m a good listener, I offer meaningful insights, and my presence has a way of bringing warmth to those around me.

This realization has inspired me to turn my pain into something meaningful. I want to create a space—a virtual page—that feels like a warm hug for everyone going through their own battles. To all the warriors out there: if you need someone to listen, to understand, or simply to share your journey with, I’m here.

This page is for you. Together, maybe we can make even the smallest difference in each other’s lives—and sometimes, that’s more than enough.
